bizDirectory – Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to bizDirectory (biz.co.ug), a uganda local business directory (the “Directory”, “we”, “our” or “us”). By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Purpose

bizCompany provides a platform where businesses in Uganda can list and promote their services. Users can search, view, and rate businesses. All content on this Directory is provided for general information and marketing purposes only.

3. Business Registration and Verification

All companies listed in the Directory are required to undergo a verification process. The verification level of each business is clearly displayed on their business page through a tick system as follows:

• 0 Ticks: Email verified only.
• 1 Tick: Email and phone verified.
• 2 Ticks: Email, phone, and ID verified.
• 3 Ticks: Email, phone, ID verified and URSB (Uganda Registration Services Bureau) registered.
• 4 Ticks: Email, phone, ID, URSB registered, and URA (Uganda Revenue Authority) registered.
• 5 Ticks: Email, phone, ID, URSB registered, URA registered, and physical address verified.

We reserve the right to update, modify, or revoke a business's verification status if false or misleading information is discovered.

4. Customer Reviews and Ratings

Each business page displays a 5-star rating system based on customer reviews. Ratings are submitted by users who have interacted with the businesses. We do not guarantee the accuracy or fairness of reviews, though we may moderate them for abusive or inappropriate content.

5. User Conduct

Users agree:

• Not to post false or misleading information.
• Not to submit offensive, defamatory, or illegal content in reviews or communications.
• Not to misuse the Directory for unlawful purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

bizCompany does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing, verification status, or customer review. We are not responsible for any transactions, agreements, or disputes between users and listed businesses.

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Directory after changes means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
